Tips for Managing Your Booking
- Book early. Wait times at busy centres can be 3–6 months. Book as soon as you are eligible.
- Set a reminder. Mark your test date and the 48-hour cancellation deadline in your calendar.
- Check for cancellations. DriveTest sometimes releases cancelled slots. Check the booking system regularly for earlier dates.
- Consider a less busy location. Smaller DriveTest centres often have shorter wait times and may be worth the extra travel.
- Know your G2 expiry date. If your G2 is approaching expiry, book your G test as early as possible to avoid losing your licence.
What to Do If You Are Sick on Test Day
If you are ill and cannot attend your test, contact DriveTest as soon as possible — ideally before the 48-hour deadline. If you miss the deadline due to sudden illness, contact DriveTest directly to explain your situation. They may make exceptions in genuine circumstances, but this is not guaranteed.
Do not attend your road test if you are unwell. Driving while ill can affect your performance and safety.
