A Free Digital Resource for Ontario Students — Proposed for School Review
GTestCanada is an independent, free-to-use Ontario driving test preparation platform. We are seeking review from Ontario secondary schools and school boards as part of a proposed pilot program.
What Is GTestCanada?

What Students Access — Free, No Account Required
Every resource listed below is available to any student at no cost and without creating an account.
Free Practice Tests
40-question practice sessions drawn from a 100-question bank, covering road signs, rules of the road, and safe driving concepts. Four study modes including exam simulation.
Ontario-Specific Content
All content is based on the Ontario Driver's Handbook and reflects current Ontario driving laws, DriveTest procedures, and city-specific road test tips for 20+ Ontario cities.
G1 Simulator
A timed 40-question exam simulation (20 road signs + 20 rules of the road) with no hints — mirrors the actual G1 test format and pass threshold.
Optional G1 3-Day Pass (CA$1.75)
Students who want extended access can purchase a 72-hour pass for CA$1.75, unlocking a 300-question bank and additional study tools. This is entirely optional — the free resources are complete on their own.
How the School Program Works
The school referral program is a lightweight, privacy-respecting way for schools to share GTestCanada with their students.
School Registers
A school or board contacts GTestCanada to register. A unique school code is created in our system.
School Receives a Referral Link
The school receives a unique referral URL (e.g. gtestcanada.ca/school/YOURCODE) and an optional QR code kit for distribution.
Students Visit via the Link
When a student visits via the school's link, they see a school-branded landing page. They are invited (not required) to enter their first name — this is stored only in their own browser and is never sent to our servers.
Students Study for Free
Students access all free resources immediately. No account, no email, no personal information required to use the platform.
Optional Purchase Attribution
If a student chooses to purchase the optional G1 3-Day Pass (CA$1.75), the purchase is attributed to the referring school using a server-verified token. No student name or personal identity is linked to the purchase record.
Why Schools May Consider Participating
The following are potential benefits for schools and students. Participation is voluntary and carries no cost or obligation.
Free resource for students
Students gain access to a comprehensive, Ontario-specific G1 preparation platform at no cost.
No account or email required
Students can use the full free platform without creating an account, providing an email address, or sharing any personal information.
Curriculum-adjacent content
Content is based on the official Ontario Driver's Handbook — the same source material used in formal driver education programs.
Supports road safety awareness
Practice tests and study guides reinforce safe driving concepts, road sign recognition, and rules of the road.
Simple distribution
Schools receive a unique referral link and optional QR code kit — no software installation, no IT integration, no data sharing agreement required to distribute the free resource.
Transparent privacy practices
Student names are stored only in the student's own browser. No student identity is transmitted to our servers as part of the referral flow.
No advertising on the school landing page
The school-specific landing page (/school/YOURCODE) does not display third-party advertisements.
Monthly content updates
Content is reviewed and updated monthly to reflect current Ontario driving laws and DriveTest procedures.
Independent platform
GTestCanada is an independent educational resource — not affiliated with any commercial driving school, insurance provider, or government body.
Student Privacy — What We Collect and What We Do Not
The following statements reflect the actual technical implementation of the GTestCanada platform as of September 2026.
Data collected or processed
Student name (optional, browser-only)
If a student enters their name on the school landing page, it is stored exclusively in their own browser's localStorage. It is not transmitted to our servers, not stored in our database, and not shared with the school or any third party.
Anonymous session identifier
When a student visits via a school referral link, a random UUID (studentSessionId) is generated in their browser. This identifier has no connection to the student's name, email, or any personal data. It is used solely for purchase attribution if the student later buys the optional G1 3-Day Pass.
School attribution on optional purchases
If a student purchases the optional G1 3-Day Pass (CA$1.75), the purchase record in our database includes the referring school's code and the anonymous studentSessionId. No student name or personal identity is stored in the purchase record.
Payment data (Stripe)
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. GTestCanada does not store credit card numbers or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment information.
Usage analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on page, device type). This data is aggregated and is not linked to individual student identities.
What we do not collect
Referral Integrity & Security
The school referral system is designed so that purchase attribution cannot be manipulated by students or third parties.
Server-verified school codes
A referral token is only issued after our server confirms the school code is active in our registry. Invalid or inactive codes produce no token and no attribution.
Tamper-evident tokens
Referral tokens are cryptographically signed. Any modification to the token — including changing the school code — causes the token to be rejected at checkout. The purchase proceeds normally with no school attribution.
Token expiry
Referral tokens expire after 30 days. Expired tokens are rejected and do not affect purchase attribution.
No client-supplied school IDs at checkout
The checkout server does not accept a school ID directly from the browser. Only the verified token is trusted. A student cannot manipulate attribution by editing browser storage.
Request a School Board Review
We welcome formal review by Ontario school boards, curriculum coordinators, and school administrators. There is no cost or obligation associated with a review request.
To request a review package, ask questions about the program, or discuss a potential pilot, please contact us directly. We are happy to provide additional documentation, answer questions about our data practices, or arrange a demonstration.
Proposed Pilot Program
The following outlines a proposed pilot structure for schools interested in a formal evaluation period.

School board or administrator reviews this page, the Board Review Package, and the Privacy Policy. Questions are directed to [email protected].
School Registration
If the board approves, the school is registered in the GTestCanada system and receives a unique referral link and QR code kit.
Distribution
The school distributes the referral link or QR code to students through existing channels (classroom, school portal, printed handout).
Student Access
Students visit GTestCanada via the school link and access free study resources. No school IT integration is required.
Evaluation
After an agreed evaluation period, the school provides feedback. GTestCanada provides aggregate (non-personal) usage data for the school's referral link upon request.
