Frequently Asked Questions
Can a G1 driver drive at night with a fully licensed driver?
No. G1 drivers cannot drive between midnight and 5 a.m. regardless of who is in the car. This restriction applies at all times during the G1 stage.
What is the biggest danger of night driving?
Reduced visibility is the biggest danger. Your headlights only illuminate about 60 metres ahead on low beams. Drive at a speed that allows you to stop within that distance.
Should I wear sunglasses at night to reduce glare?
No. Sunglasses reduce visibility at night and are dangerous. If glare is a problem, look toward the right edge of the road when oncoming vehicles approach.
